Cleanses The Temple

This story is a prophetic match to Enoch’s ascension into the Temple in heaven in 4270 AA. It is also a match to Jesus’ age 12 visit to the temple where he stays behind.

The story about the Fig Tree is an editorial on the temple at Jerusalem itself. No one would eat figs from this tree again. It is a match to several OT parables.

Nicodemus is going to Jesus like Enoch went to Jesus, causing the listing to be included here.

Matthew (P)

Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. "It is written," he said to them, "`My house will be called a house of prayer,' but you are making it a `den of robbers.'" (Matthew 21:12-13 NIV)

Mark (P)

On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. And as he taught them, he said, "Is it not written: "`My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it `a den of robbers.'" The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching. (Mark 11:15-18 NIV)

Luke (P)

Then he entered the temple area and began driving out those who were selling. "It is written," he said to them, "`My house will be a house of prayer'; but you have made it `a den of robbers.'" Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him. Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words. (Luke 19:45-48 NIV)

Heals Blind and Lame

This story links to the earlier temple cleansing. Enoch’s ascension is in view here. He was the youngest known pre-flood king at his departure. He is the point of Jesus’ editorial.

Matthew (P)

The blind and the lame came to him at the temple, and he healed them. But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple area, "Hosanna to the Son of David," they were indignant. "Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked him. "Yes," replied Jesus, "have you never read, "`From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise'?" (Matthew 21:14-16 NIV)
