26 Psalms 131

1Yahvah, my heart is not haughty, nor my eyes lofty; nor do I deal in great matters, nor in things too high for me.
2Surely, I have humbled and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of its mother; my soul is even as a weaned child.

3Let Israel hope in Yahvah from now on and forever.

US Health Care

At least three US Senators were bought off in order to get the 60 votes needed for passage of a sweeping change in US health care.

The headline was linked in part to Passion Week replay headlines.

The states involved were Louisiana, Nebraska and Connecticut.

Various commentators, including the normally Democratic NBC, were openly asking how many seats the Democrats would loose in the next election for having been so out of the will of the American people. This Psalm specifically addresses the right to remain in office. (See especially verse 12.)
