26 Psalms 119
1Blessed are those undefiled in the way who walk in the law of Yahvah.
2Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, and seek him with a whole heart.
3They do no iniquity; they walk in his ways.
4You have commanded them to keep your precepts diligently.
5That my ways were directed to keep your statutes.
6Then I will not be ashamed when I have observed all your commandments.
7I will praise you with uprightness of heart when I will have learned your righteous judgments.
8I will keep your statutes; do not utterly forsake me.

9With what will a young man cleanse his way in order that he may observe your commandments?
10With my whole heart I have sought you; do not let me wander from your commandments.
11Your words I have impressed on my heart that I might not sin against you.
12Blessed are you Yahvah; teach me your statutes.
13With my lips I have repeated all your righteous judgments.
14I have been delighted in the way of your testimonies more than in all riches.
15I have meditated in your commandments, and am familiar with your ways.
16I have meditated in your law in order that I may not forget your words.

17Answer your servant that I may live and keep your words.
18Open my eyes that I may see wondrous things out of your law.
19I am a temporary resident with you; do not hide your commandments from me.
20My soul is pleased and desires your judgments at all times.
21You have rebuked the nations, and cursed are those who go astray from your commandments.
22Remove from me disgrace and contempt, for I have kept your testimonies.
23The ungodly sat and plotted against me, but I meditated in your statutes.
24I have also meditated in your testimonies, and in your good counsel.

25My soul clings to the dust; quicken me according to your word.
26I have declared my ways and you heard me; teach me your law.
27Make me understand the way of your precepts, so I will meditate on your wondrous works.
28My soul is vexed from meditation; quicken me according to your word.
29Remove from me the practices of the wicked, and teach me your law.
30I have chosen the way of your truth; your judgments have delighted me.
31I have stuck to your testimonies; Yahvah do not put me to shame.
32I have walked in the way of your commandments because you have made me joyful.

33Teach me Yahvah the way of your commandments, and I will keep them to the end.
34Give me understanding and I will keep your law; yes I will observe it with my whole heart.
35Make me go in the path of your commandments, for there I delight.
36Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to fables.
37Turn my eyes away that they may not see falsehood, and quicken me in your way.
38Strengthen your word to your servant who is devoted to you.
39Turn away my disgrace because your judgments are good.
40Look I have delighted in your precepts; quicken me in your righteousness.

41Let your mercies also come to me Yahvah even your salvation according to your word.
42So I will have that with which to answer him who disgraces me, for I trust in your word.
43Do not let the word of truth depart from my mouth, for I have hoped in your judgments.
44So I will keep your law continually forever and ever.
45I will walk at liberty because I have been delighted in your commandments.
46I will speak your testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed.
47I will meditate on your commandments which I have loved.
48My hands I also will lift up to your commandments which I have loved, and I will meditate in your commandments, and I will be glorified in your faith.

49Remember your word to your servant on which you have made me to hope.
50In it I have been comforted in my humiliation, for your word has quickened me.
51The ungodly have oppressed me greatly, yet I have not swerved from your law.
52I have remembered your judgments of old Yahvah, and have been comforted; they have become a guide to me.
53Horror has taken hold of me because of the wicked who forsake your law.
54Your statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.
55I have remembered your name Yahvah in the night, and have kept your law.
56I have been comforted because I kept your commandments.

57On Yahvah's business I have meditated that I may keep your commandments.
58I asked your favor with my whole heart; save me according to your word.
59I thought on my ways, and turned my feet to your testimonies.
60I prepared myself, and did not delay to keep your commandments.
61The bands of the wicked have beset me, but I have not strayed from your law.
62At midnight I rise to give thanks to you because of your righteous judgments.
63I am a friend of all those who worship you, and of those who keep your commandments.
64The land Yahvah is full of your mercy; teach me your statutes.

65You have dealt well with your servant Yahvah according to your word.
66Teach me good judgment, grace, and knowledge, for I have believed your commandments.
67Even before I was humbled I believed, and I kept your word.
68You are good Yahvah and do good; teach me your statutes.
69The injustice of the proud has multiplied, but I keep your commandments with my whole heart.
70Their hearts are stubborn, but I keep your law.
71It is good for me that I have been humbled that I might learn your statutes.
72The law of your mouth is better to me than 1,000s of things of gold and silver.

73Your hands have made me and fashioned me; teach me your law,
74so that those who revere you may see, and rejoice because I have hoped in your word.
75I know Yahvah that your judgments are right, and that you in your faithfulness have humbled me.
76Let your merciful kindness be for my comfort according to your word to your servant.
77Let your tender mercies come to me that I may live, for I have been taught your law.
78Let the wicked be ashamed, for they have humbled me unjustly, but I have meditated in your precepts.
79Let those who reverence you turn to me, and those who have known your testimonies.
80Let my heart meditate in your statutes that I not be ashamed.

81My soul has longed for your salvation, and I hope in your word.
82My eyes wait for your word when you will comfort me.
83For I have suffered all disgrace, yet I do not forget your statutes.
84How many are the days of your servant? When will you execute judgment on those who persecute me?
85The wicked have dug a pit for me which is not in accord with your law.
86All your commandments are trustworthy, yet the wicked persecute me.
87They had almost destroyed me on land, but I did not forsake your commandments.
88Quicken me after your lovingkindness, so I will keep the testimony of your mouth.

89Forever you are Yahvah; your word is established in the skies.
90Your faithfulness is to all generations; you have established the land and it stays.
91They continue this day according to your ordinances, for all are your servants.
92Unless your law had been my meditation I would have then perished in my affliction.
93I will never forget your commandments because they are my very life.
94I am yours deliver me, for I have kept your commandments.
95The wicked have waited for me to destroy me, but I understand your testimonies.
96I have seen the futility of all things, but your commandment is exceedingly broad.

97How I love your law; it is my meditation all the day.
98Make me wiser than my enemies because I have obeyed your commandments.
99Give me more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation.
100I understand more than the elders because I keep your statutes.
101I have refrained my feet from every evil way that I might keep your commandments.
102I have not departed from your judgments, for you have taught me.
103How sweet are your words to the taste; yes sweeter than honey to the mouth.
104I have meditated on your commandments therefore I hate the way of the wicked.

105Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.
106I have sworn and I will perform it that I will keep your righteous judgments.
107I am very greatly afflicted; quicken me Yahvah according to your word.
108With the words of my mouth be pleased Yahvah, and teach me your judgments.
109My soul is continually in your hands; I do not forget your law.
110Sinners have laid a snare for me, yet I did not err from your commandments.
111Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever, for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
112I have inclined my heart to perform your statutes truly even to the end.

113I hate the wicked, but your law I love.
114You are my shelter and my refuge; I hope in your word.
115Depart from me evildoers that I may keep the commandments of my god.
116Uphold me according to your word and I will live, and do not let me be ashamed of my hope.
117Help me and I will be safe, and I will be continually mindful of your commandments.
118You have rejected all those who stray from you, for their thought is ungodly.
119Sustain me and I will be safe, and I will always meditate on your testimonies.
120My flesh shrinks for fear of you, and I am afraid of your judgments.

121You who does judgment and justice do not leave me in the hand of my oppressors.
122Comfort your servant with goodness; do not let the proud slander me.
123My eyes long for your salvation, and for the word of your righteousness.
124Deal with your servant according to your mercies, and teach me your law.
125I am your servant; give me understanding that I may know your testimonies.
126It is time to serve Yahvah, for they have nullified your law.
127Therefore I love your commandments above gold yes above precious stones.
128Therefore I love all your commandments, and I hate every way of the wicked.

129Your testimonies are wonderful therefore my soul keeps them.
130Make plain your word, and enlighten and give understanding to the simple.
131I opened my mouth and panted, for I longed for your commandments.
132Look on me and be merciful to me because I love your name.
133Direct my steps in your path; do not let the wicked have dominion over me.
134Deliver me from the oppression of man, so I will keep your statutes.
135Make your face shine on your servant, and teach me your law.
136Rivers of waters run down my eyes because they do not keep your law.

137You are righteous Yahvah, and upright are your judgments.
138You have commanded your testimony in righteousness and faithfulness.
139Zeal has consumed me because your enemies have forgotten your word.
140Your word is very pure therefore your servant loves it.
141I am small and despised, yet I do not forget your commandments.
142Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and your law is truth.
143Trouble and anguish have taken hold of me, yet I meditate on your commandments.
144The righteousness of your testimonies is everlasting; give me understanding and I will live.

145I cried with my whole heart: Hear me Yahvah; I will keep your statutes.
146I cried to you: Save me and I will keep your testimonies.
147I arose at the dawn of the morning, and cried I hoped in your word.
148My eyes open before the night watches that I might meditate in your word.
149Hear my voice according to your lovingkindness; Yahvah quicken me according to your judgment.
150They draw near who follow after mischief; they are far from your law.
151You are near Yahvah, and all your commandments are truth; my eyes open before the night watch to meditate on your word.
152Concerning your testimonies I have known of old that you have founded them forever.

153Consider my affliction and deliver me, for I do not forget your law.
154Judge my case and deliver me; quicken me according to your word.
155Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek your statutes.
156Great are your tender mercies Yahvah; quicken me according to your judgments.
157Many are my persecutors and my enemies, yet I do not decline from your testimonies.
158I saw the transgressors, and I knew they had not kept your word.
159Consider how I love your commandments; quicken me Yahvah according to your lovingkindness.
160The foundation of your word is truth, and each of your righteous judgments endures forever.

161Princes have persecuted me without a cause, but my heart stands in awe of your word.
162I rejoice at your word as one that finds great spoil.
163I hate and despise evil, but your law I love.
1647 times a day I praise you because of your righteous judgments.
165Great peace have they who love your law, and they will have no infirmity.
166Yahvah I have hoped for your salvation, and done your commandments.
167My soul has kept your testimonies, and I love them exceedingly.
168I have kept your commandments and your testimonies, for all my ways are before you.

169Let my cry come before you Yahvah; save me according to your word.
170Let my supplication come before you; deliver me according to your word.
171My tongue will speak of your word, for all your commandments are righteous.
172My lips will speak of your praise when you have taught me your commandments.
173Let your hand help me, for I have delighted in your statutes.
174I have longed for your salvation Yahvah, and I meditate on your law.
175Let my soul live, and it will praise you, and let your judgments help me.
176I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant for I do not forget your commandments.

Obama in Asia

This Psalm breaks very early in the morning of Saturday, November 14, 2009, in Washington DC. There was a Press Conference about 2 hours ahead of theoretical for this Psalm. It was held in Japan dealing with Obama's departure for the APEC conference where he would meet with a long list of world leaders. Obama had decided to depart early in order to attend the end of a dinner.

Obama was again in trouble for having bowed to the Japanese Emperor.

The APEC leaders eventually issued a statement on sustainable economic growth.

This is the longest of the Psalms, with 176 verses. It is fitting that Obama would head off to China, the largest nation by population. The APEC stats were given by the White House as:

On November 15, President Obama participated in the 17th Annual Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ meeting in Singapore. APEC members account for 53% of global GDP, purchase 58% of U.S. goods exports, and represent a market of 2.7 billion consumers. In 2008, U.S. goods exports to the Asia-Pacific totaled $747 billion, an increase of 8.3% over 2007. During that same period, U.S. services exports to the region totaled $186.5 billion, up 7.7 percent.

The Psalm deals with the journey, of which Obama was taking a long one. The press coverage is weak, but there is some chance that Obama traveled the alphabet as he traveled Asia.
