26 Psalms 83

1God, who is like you? Do not hold your peace, and do not be still, god;
2for look, your enemies are raging and those who hate you have lifted up the head against your people.
3They have taken crafty counsel, and consulted against your chosen ones.
4They have said, Come, let us destroy them from among the nations, that the name of Israel may not be in remembrance any longer.
5For they have agreed with 1 heart; they have made alliance against you;
6the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; of Moab and the sons of Hagar;
7the people of the region of Ammon and Amalek; the Philistines, with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8the Assyrians have also joined with them; they have helped the sons of Lot.

9Do to them like the Midianites; like Sisera, like Jabin, at the valley of Kishon;
10which perished at Endor; they became as manure for the land.
11Destroy their nobles like Oreb and like Zeeb; yes, all their princes, as Zebah and as Zalmunna;
12for they said, Let us inherit for ourselves the city of god.

13God, make them like a turning wheel; and like stubble before the wind.
14As the fire burns a forest and as the flame sets the mountains on fire;
15so persecute them with your tempest, and make them afraid with your storm.
16Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek your name, Yahvah.
17Let them be confounded and troubled forever; yes, let them be put to shame, and perish,
18that men may know that you, whose name alone is Yahvah, are the most high over all the land.

Brown Shirts

The term "Brown Shirts" comes from Hitler's use of his people to disrupt public protests against his various nefarious plans. Obama did the same at the start of this day, essentially at the expected time of this Psalm. This time using union people as his thugs. Use of the term Brown Shirt, is appropriate as Obama's campaign speech in Berlin was a prophetic match to Hitler's 1936 Olympics, marking Obama as a modern Hitler. Any Hitler match to Obama is thus appropriate.

After having gone home for an August recess, the US Congress suddenly found itself with massive often violent protests by people afraid of loosing existing health care to a system no more competent that the US Post Office.

The video clips shown on You Tube suggested a government seriously out of touch with the people. These revolts even caused the White House to issue directions on how to avoid generating You Tube clips. This includes holding town hall "meetings" on the phone, at unannounced times, with randomly selected phone numbers, where Members of Congress can edit the questions, and nobody can be video taped. (As Orwellian as anything seen so far from Obama.)

Several new strategies had been followed by the Democratic leadership of the US Congress in order to get this bill passed. One of the most preposterous was the issuance of multiple congressional bills in order to hide their true bill in a cloud of confusion.

What this strategy has done is turn every Democratic member of congress who says anything about the health care bill over this August recess into a liar, since nobody knows what is in it. One of the protest chants has been "Read the Bill" as there is no fixed bill to even read.

Health Care Reform is likely a component of the Plague of Darkness. One way to read the meaning of that plague is as a plague on medicines, or health care in the general sense. (Suggesting Obama will get away with this disgrace.) The previous Psalm fulfilled in North Korea and also reference the Plague of Darkness currently under way. When this bill passes it will bring on yet another curse to the people. A good summary was published 15 years ago that enumerates what this will do the people of the USA, in effect turn it into a place as dark and poor as North Korea

In the morning edition of the Wall Street Journal for this date, Peggy Noonan published an article about how out of touch the Democrats are with the public at large. The considerable rage directed against Democratic leadership and their serious mis-calculations on reading popular sentiment. Noonan also touches on the way Obama has called in his supporters to crush the revolt. (Noonan assumes, which may be wrong, that Democrats even care about popular support.)

Drudge was also covering the detail headlines quite heavily.

The Psalm opens with verse 1 calling on God to not be still. This stirring of God himself is seen in the stirring of the crowds, finally motivated to protest a government gone insane.

Verse 2 indicates that the government leadership in this process not only hates God's people, but they hate God himself.

Verse 3 deals with the crafty nature of the way this attack has been planned. Issuing of multiple conflicting congressional bills, the use of telephone based town hall meetings and so on are all examples.

Verse 4 mentions the purpose, which is to eventually destroy the whole nation, all the people. The bills include government payment for abortion, forced inoculations and so on. Along with the other bills passed since Obama took office, the general plan is to destroy the nation through bankruptcy.

Verse 4 also names "Israel" which is an ambiguous term. In this case the application is the northern kingdom, called in the Bible the nation of Israel, with a capital in a White House on a capital hill at the city of Samaria. Samaria a play on the term America.

Verse 5 suggests this is done through some sort of conspiracy directed against God himself.

Verses 6 through 8 name various proto-nations that surrounded ancient Israel. These names represent the distributed nature of the protests, with revolts against leaders from across the country.

By the use of pagan place names and not tribal names the Psalmist is inferring that the entire system is arrayed against God himself with the same pagan deities as found in those nations.

In verses 9 through 17 the Psalmist turns to requests to God on what he should do.

Verse 9 mentions Sisera, who was killed with a stake through the temple.

Verse 10 reminds the reader that they became as shit. This literary structure confirms the general sense that the Psalm is about a battle between the people and an out-of-touch leadership.

Verse 11 calls out more leaders who met their end at the hand of God.

Verse 12 says the plan is to control the "City of God." In this case the city may be the national capital itself.

Verses 13 and 14 asks God to make them like stubble and to set their mountain on fire. Mountain is a biblical term that is a symbol for "government." This is more confirmation that the government leaders, themselves, are the target for the Psalmist's wrath.

Verse 15 asks these leaders to be persecuted and made afraid by a storm. "Water" in the bible is a symbol that means people, so a storm is stirred up people, something already starting to happen this date.

Verse 16 asks these leaders face shame. Noonan's article is already working towards showing how this will happen. Elected leadership should not be so out of touch, and should be ashamed.

Verse 17 asks this shame be forever and that they perish.

The Psalm ends with a request that their destruction will also demonstrate that Yahvah is God over the land.

Note that in the general series of Egyptian plagues that we've been watching since the bridge collapse in Minneapolis ends with the death of Pharaoh and Egypt's first-born. The term "first-born" applies to political leadership, and this Psalm is calling out what these other stories suggest will happen.
