Fetching the Donkey

Jesus directs his disciples to fetch a donkey. This event is likely in preparation to the formal entry.

Fetching the Donkey occurs before the formal Triumphal entry and placing this hour depends on finding a match to other parallel stories.

In this case the choice is the appearance of Gabriel to Zechariah, 490 days before Jesus' birth. At 210 days to the hour this match would be in the 3rd hour before the triumphal entry.

Matthew (P) Mark (P) Luke (P)

41 Matthew 21:1-3
1When he came near Jerusalem, he came to Bethphage on the side of the mount of Olives. Jesus then sent 2 of his disciples,
2and he said to them, Go to that village which is in front of you, and immediately, you will find a donkey which is tied up, and a colt with her; untie them and bring them to me.
3And if any man should say anything to you, tell him that master needs them; and he will immediately send them here.

42 Mark 11:1-6
1When he came near to Jerusalem, towards Bethphage and Bethany at the mount of Olives, he sent 2 of his disciples,
2and he said to them, Go to the village ahead of us; and as soon as you enter it, you will find a colt tied up, on which no man of the sons of men has ever ridden; untie it and bring it.
3And if any man should say to you, Why are you doing this? say to him, Master needs it; and he will send it here immediately.
4So they went and found the colt tied by the door, outside in the street. And as they were untying it,
5some of the men who stood there said to them, What are you doing, are you untying the colt?
6And they answered them as Jesus had instructed them; and they consented.

43 Luke 19:29-34
29And when he arrived at Bethphage and Bethany, on the side of the mountain which is called the place of Olives, he sent 2 of his disciples,
30saying to them, Go to the village which is in front of us; and when you enter it you will find a colt tied, on which no man has ever ridden; untie it and bring it.
31And if any man should ask you, Why do you untie it? Tell him, Master needs it.
32And those who were sent, went away and found just as he had told them.
33And as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, Why do you untie the colt?
34And they said to them, Master needs it.

Day/Year Passion Fulfillment

United States President Obama traveled to Martha's Vineyard for his first vacation while president. While vacationing long time United States Senator Teddy Kennedy died of brain cancer. The death sparked sudden preparations for a funeral that would be held in Boston a few days later. Kennedy's body would be buried in Washington DC after being escorted around Boston with massive crowds of mourners.

The fulfillment at this point is the "fetching of the donkey" the identification of the Donkey, the Democrat, that would be used for the journey to Washington.

More Details

A few hours before theoretical, Barack Obama went to play golf at Farm Neck Golf Club on Martha's Vineyard. Obama had been on Martha's Vineyard since Sunday on a vacation.

He had begun the day with a tennis game played with his wife.

Of note, UBS bank CEO Robert Wolf, Chicago physician Eric Whitaker and White House aide Marvin Nicholson rounded out the foursome.

There was a PGA member, Michael Zoll, who watched Obama warm up and gave the press a rundown on Obama's game.

The prophetic story takes place at Bethphage, transliterated BYTPGA, or more literally, "House-PGA." Adding some glue words for the English ear, "House-of-the-PGA." What today would be called a golf-course.

Notes

Martha's house may be where Jesus always stayed while in Jerusalem. There are Biblical principles about always staying at the same place when visiting a town. Jesus would have followed that principle here.

That Obama went to Martha's Vineyard is likely a prophetic match to Martha in scripture.
