Fulfillment: June 29, 2005: Opening of War of the Worlds

Tom Cruise finished a world wide tour promoting his new movie. Along the way he hit at least 3 prophetic stories and matched names and context making his tour a prophetic match to parts of Jesus' public ministry. The culmination of Tom's tour is the opening of his new movie, a timed prophetic match to the return of Jesus.

Background

Tom Cruise has been in the headlines for many days.

The first headline that attracted attention here at Bible Time was Tom's proposal to Katie Holmes atop the Eiffel Tower. That proposal was the prophetic replay of Jesus proposing to Zacheaus on his way through Jericho. Even the last name "Holmes" played to Jesus' words, I need to stay in your "home" today.

Tom's prophetic series continued when he was sprayed in the face with water from a trick microphone. The story was Jesus weeping on his way into Jerusalem.

June 24, 2005: Cruise Crucified

Tom's personal prophetic series culminated with an appearance on the NBC Today Show. The timing was within 1 hour of the current 30:1 prophetic replay of the crucifixion of Jesus. Tom Cruise was effectively crucified by Matt Lauer on the Today Show.

The interview started well, but turned to Tom's comments about the use of psychotic drugs. Tom had previous blasted their use and Matt Lauer infused his moral relativism and suggested Tom was wrong for taking a righteous position.

Tom defended righteousness, and blasted the pseudo science of psychology. He also put in a few sharp words on Matt's ignorance.

The event itself triggered headlines around the world as many major news media wrote editorials in support of Tom and his frank willingness to stand up for truth.

Themes in Tom's Tour

It does appear to be the prophetic application of the name "Cruise" as the person who fulfills the "Crucifixion" in a mild prophetic sense in this 30:1 replay of the Bible's time line.

Tom was of course on a worldwide tour promoting the opening of his new movie, War of the Worlds. His tour itself a prophetic replay of Jesus' ministry, prophetically applied at the same time.

The worldwide media attention given to Tom's comments at his crucifixion at NBC in New York is also a prophetic match to how the world eventually announced the crucifixion of Jesus 2000 year ago.

NBC: Modern Golgotha

There is a history of NBC crucifying other celebrities, including Christian celebs. James Dobson was under their all seeing eye in years past. For those with extensive prayer-driving experience, even the location of the NBC studios in New York strongly supports the thought that the building is dedicated to being against the things of Christ.

For those that don't know, NBC broadcasts from Rockefeller Center in New York City. NBC broadcasts a never ending river of death related TV shows. Their evening drama shows deal in death in nearly every possible form and their Today Show hosts expound on moral relativism, a sure road to death for ignorant viewers. (Which is what, ultimately, Tom Cruise objected to on the show.)

NBC, and Rockefeller Center, is a place with a prophetic match to Golgotha. Golgotha was located just outside of the walls of ancient Jerusalem. Rockefeller Center is about the same distance, these days across a street, from a huge cathedral. As Golgotha was the place of death outside the Holy City, so too is NBC a place of death outside another city of God.

Golgotha was also known as the place of the skull, or place of death, as NBC continues to demonstrate in its shows.

Of course Jesus is in complete control, and used both ancient Golgotha and the modern prophetic equivalent in order that his purposes would be fulfilled.

June 29, 2005: Tom's Movie Opens

Throughout Tom's travels he has been promoting 1 thing, the opening of his new movie, War of the Worlds, on June 29, 2005.

This promotion is a prophetic match to Jesus and his ministry. Jesus always spoke in parables so the crowds could not understand, and the promotion of a remake of a movie with roots in the late 1890s does not appear to mean anything to the media or, even, to most Christians.

But, just as Jesus' parables unpacked reveal the details and timing of his return, the War of the Worlds movie is also a type of parable about the return of Jesus. Instead of coming as a suffering servant, he is returning as a conquering king. The movie attempts to visualize this event in an otherworldly, fictionalized, form.

The opening of the movie on June 29, 2005, is a match from the 30:1 time line to both the historical time line return of Jesus and to the modern day-for-a-year time line and in both cases roughly matches Jesus' actual return.

The opening of this movie is also a mild prophetic match to the major move of the Holy Spirit that hit the planet in early 1900s. That event was Jesus coming in power, a prophetic match to his coming in Glory in our generation. The original War of the Worlds book, and it's cousin The Time Machine, were first published in the same era, so the entire set has always been prophetic for Jesus' return. This movie is is simply this generation's version.

The 1938 Radio broadcast of the War of the Worlds was thought by many to be real. Why? Because the story is a parable of real events. The Holy Spirit was witnessing to this in the listeners.

No joke, this movie is an important worldwide parable. This is why Tom had to travel around the world to promote the opening of the film. This is why there had to be such odd headlines along the way.

What remains to be seen is how many people will watch the movie, and how many of them will ever have a clue about what they saw.
