The start of Saul's reign, the first king of ancient Israel, replayed using day-for-a-year prophecy at September 11, 2001. This article looks at the conditions that lead to that anointing. They explain one of the reasons America has been judged.
The original chronology of the Bible is made up of several specific periods. Those periods are marked by the way the chronology is composed. From Adam to Moses and Aaron the story is composed of a family genealogy. Once past the end of Moses' life the time line shifts to a second, different mode. This period is recorded in Judges and is composed of specific periods of peace and oppression. The period was seen in the news with the Al Aqsa Intifada.
The next Bible time line mode, a third mode, is composed of king's reigns. It began with Saul's reign and ran through Zedekiah's reign. That period of king's reigns began day-for-a-year repetition on September 11, 2001, with the replay of the call and anointing of Saul, the story we look at closely here.
The story of Saul's call to be king of ancient Israel begins at 1 Samuel 8. Nearly the entire chapter focuses on the problems surrounding the anointing of Saul as the first ancient king.

The focus of the story is on that keyword "firstborn." Though Reuben was the first born of Jacob, he lost birthright and that right passed to Joseph. Joel and Joseph are related names and the focus of this story seems to land here, nationally the English speaking world, and its current firstborn, the United States.
America's story is much the same as Samuel and his sons. Even the nick-name "Uncle Sam" points at a national identification with Samuel. America was founded by devout followers of Jesus fleeing persecution in Europe. A people set apart at birth for the Lord's purposes. Eventually, the sons of that earlier generation did not walk in the ways of their fathers, just as this story suggests.

Here we get to the root of thee matter. We're looking for a people that has rejected the Lord as king of their nation. It is the reason that Saul would be anointed king at this point in the story and it is the reason for the prophetic events at this date along the time line.
Samuel proceeds to explain what will happen to the nation because of the anointing of Saul, but before we get there, we turn to the parallel passages that also add detail to the events at September 11, 2001.
