Jesus Feeds 5000

Jesus takes the disciples by boat to a private place. After a time he feeds 5000. This parable marks 5000 years from Noah’s flood where Jesus begins to feed the people. The interval is the number of years from Noah to Jesus and is only off by 126 days.

Bible Story

30And the apostles gathered together to Joshua, and told him everything they had done and what they had taught. 31And he said to them, Come, let us go to the wilderness all alone and rest awhile, for there were many coming and going and they had no chance even to eat. 32So they went away in a boat to a desert place by themselves.

33And many people saw them when they were leaving and they knew them, and from all the cities they hurried by land and reached the place ahead of him. 34And when Joshua went out he saw large crowds and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them a great many things. 35And when it was getting late his disciples came up to him and said to him, This is a desert place and it is getting late. 36Dismiss them so that they may go away to the farms and villages around us and buy bread for themselves for they have nothing to eat. 37He said to them, You give them to eat. They said to him, Will we go and buy 200 denarii's worth of bread and give it to them to eat? 38He said to them, Go and see how many loaves of bread you have here. And when they found out they said to him, 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. 39And he commanded them to make everyone sit down in groups on the grass. 40So they sat down in groups by 100s and by 50s. 41Then he took the 5 loaves of bread and the 2 fish and he looked up to the skies and blessed and broke the loaves of bread and gave them to his disciples to place before them, and they divided the 2 fish among them all. 42And they all ate and were satisfied. 43And they took up the fragments of bread, 12 full baskets, and also of the fish. 44And those who ate the bread were 5,000 men. Mark 6:30-44

This story, like so many others in the Book of Mark begins with travel across the Sea of Galilee by boat.Mark 6:32 This resets the prophetic time clock back to the Bible’s most famous boat: Noah’s Ark.

When they get to the mountainside Jesus has compassion on the crowds that have come out to meet him so he decides to feed them. After a dialog with the disciples on where the food will come from, Jesus proceeds to divide five loaves and two fish. The people, organized in ranks of 100s and 50s sit on the grass. Jesus looks up to heaven, gives thanks, then gives them to the people to eat. When the miracle is over Jesus has fed 5000 people.

Prophetic time intervals are always rendered at a 1 to 1 ratio. In this case, 1 person is 1 year. The interval from Noah’s flood is 5000 years.

Noah’s flood the 17th day of the 2nd month of the year 6020 from Adam. 5000 years later is the 17th day of the 2nd month of the year 11020 from Adam. This is date is known in history as Sunday, July 29, 31 OS. This is 126 days after Resurrection Sunday. Pretty good, a parable off by only 126 days across 5000 years.

The feeding of the 5000 is an interesting story because it does not involve other people. This story only involves Jesus, his disciples and the ever present crowds. This parable focused on Jesus, his disciples and the crowd.

Jesus is ultimately the one who has been in heaven and seen into the heavenly realm. In order to share that with other’s he had to die on a cross. He did that 129 days before the indicated prophetic date. After his resurrection he began to feed everyone else. The main ceremony Jesus left his church with is called Communion. In the ceremony, wine and bread are taken by Christians as a remembrance of the body and blood of Jesus. In this parable the bread and the fish also represent the body and blood of Jesus.
